Answers to the questions guests often ask before their stay. Group bookings and long stays depend on conditions, so feel free to contact us.
Can guests under 20 stay? booking
We are sorry, but we do not accept groups made up only of guests under 20. Guests under 18 travelling alone may stay if they submit a consent form from a parent or guardian in advance. If you let us know in the notes when booking that you are a minor travelling alone, we will email you the consent form.
Can I see the sea from my room? stay
Some rooms have a sea view, but not all of them. The Family Room and the Bunk Bed Room face north, toward the main road. In fact, the sea used to be right to the south of the inn. That land has since been reclaimed and an outlet mall now stands there. We do have rooms on the sea side, but the OUR forest behind us grows every year, so the view is becoming more limited. Rooms are also assigned according to each day’s bookings, so we are sorry that we cannot accept requests for a sea-view room. That said, the seaside is just a few minutes’ walk away. If you are looking for sea views, we highly recommend a stroll. Feel free to ask us at check-in for our favourite sunrise and sunset spots.
What time is check-in? stay
Check-in is from 17:00 to 21:00. If you will arrive late, please contact us by phone or email in advance. Arrivals after 21:00 incur a late charge of ¥1,000 per person. Guests who have prepaid may be able to use self check-in. With advance notice only, we can hand over keys or store luggage from 09:30 on the day of arrival.
What time is check-out? stay
Check-out is by 09:30. Many guests who come for fishing or hiking asked for early departures, so we have switched to self check-out. You are welcome to leave early in the morning.
Is there a curfew? stay
We will explain how to enter and leave at night when you check in. Voices and other sounds carry easily at night, so please be considerate of other guests.
Are the shower and toilet shared? room
Showers, toilets and other bathroom facilities are shared. Some room types have their own washbasin. The shared shower rooms provide a hair dryer, shampoo and body soap. Other shared facilities include a kettle, microwave and refrigerator. Guests staying more than one night can use a simple kitchen and a washing machine (there is currently no dryer). Is Wi-Fi available? room
Wi-Fi is available throughout the building. We will give you the connection details at check-in.
Is there a washing machine? room
Available for guests staying more than one night. The washing machine is free to use; detergent is available for a fee, or you can bring your own. There is currently no dryer, so please use the clotheslines in the courtyard and under the eaves. We can also tell you about nearby coin laundries.
Can groups or training camps stay? booking
Yes. Arrangements depend on the number of people, dates and room allocation, so please contact us early.
Is there parking? booking
There is space for 5–8 cars, approximately ¥700 on weekdays and ¥1,000 on weekends and holidays. Spaces are limited and offered first come, first served. We do not accept parking reservations.
How far is it from the nearest station? access
From the west gate of JR / Sanyo Railway Tarumi Station, take the south (sea) side exit, cross at the traffic light heading south, then walk 800 m along Route 2 (about 8 minutes). If you have a lot of luggage, a taxi from the rank on the north side of the station costs about the minimum fare.
